6. Tamarins — What fairytale did these wild-looking creatures crawl out of? Actually, these are three species of small primates called Tamarins that are found in the rainforests of South America. On the left is a Cotton-top Tamarin who is highly endangered and only found in Columbia. The two in the middle are Emperor Tamarins and they live in the Amazon. They are named for their distinctive facial hair, which reminded people of German Emperor Wilhelm II. On the right is a Golden Lion Tamarin, which can only be found in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil and is also highly endangered. Save the rainforests so these wild things have a wild place to live!
