14. Mustang — Their intelligence and prowess is legendary. In the wild, they are constantly on the move, traveling 10 - 15 miles a day. This much activity requires eating 20 - 30 pounds of food every day. And we aren't talking Big Macs - just greens! Mustangs live in supportive groups, have a well-developed system of communication, and help each other in difficult situations. Sounds a lot like humans. Just bigger and furrier. Now, due to habitat loss, mustangs mostly live in private sanctuaries or on publicly owned land. No matter where they live, mustangs will always encompass the "Spirit of the Wild" that lives in all of us.
