16. Legend of the Wild — Like people, wolves have strong “family values.” Wolf families are “packs” that usually consists of a male and female parent and the last few years of offspring from them. Wolves use howls, barks, growls and body language for communication that allows them to perform such complex operations as hunting as a team. They also work as a team to raise their young by taking turns caring for nursing mothers and their pups. Pups learn valuable hunting and survival skills while playing with pack members and begin hunting small prey as early as six months old.
