9. Dolphin — Did you know that dolphins are among the most intelligent creatures on Earth? Although they look like a big fish, they are actually mammals, just like you and I! They breathe air, have live young and feed them milk. In the wild, most dolphins live for at least 25 years. Don’t forget that the health of the rainforest is directly related to the health of the oceans. When a rainforest is destroyed, sedimentation runoff into nearby oceans clogs the marine ecosystem and causes problems for all of the oceans’ creatures. So by continuing to save the rainforest, you are also protecting dolphin habitat for years to come!
