Deer
17. White-tailed Deer — Did you eat all of your vegetables? Well, if you were a white-tailed deer buck, we could tell by looking at your antlers. Antlers will not develop if a buck is eating poorly. Whitetails have excellent eyesight and keen hearing, but depend mostly on their sense of smell to detect danger. Do they really have white tails? Yes! They will raise their tail to warn others in the herd that they could be in danger. Whitetails can adapt to a wide variety of habitats and can live in open savannas as well as the forest. In fact, the same species you may see in your own state also lives in the rainforest!
